the loveliest of happenings
it seems like just yesterday that i went to my very first lovely happenings event to watch dana speak! i can't believe how quickly their next event came around. after meeting the adorable co-founders (and sisters) jaclyn and rachael at the fall event, they extended an opportunity that i couldn't refuse: to moderate the panel of bloggers for their spring event!
i had so much fun preparing for this event - activities included snapchat and instagram takeovers! snapchat appearances were made by my brother as we went to nobu 57 for lunch and dana at the b floral event with carole radziwill! i even had a blast picking out my outfit! i decided to go with this zimmermann dress that truly made me feel like a princess (this was my second option). i did have to make the sleeves a little more manageable and had them taken in three inches! ...can you imagine how large they were before?? #aggressive
and before i knew it, april 23rd was here! the panel was first up on the docket for the day but dana and i made sure to get there a little on the early side to maximize the mimosa bar...because priorities. the panel included an amazing group of bloggers and we made sure to take a bunch of pictures before taking the stage.
i was incredibly honored to share the stage with christine of view from 5ft2, mollie of a stylish side project, caroline of when & wear, and mel of lace and combat boots. we spent our time chatting about our favorite spring trends (spoiler alert, florals came up a few times), our go-to investment pieces, and even our secret nyc spots! did you guys know there is a mini-golf course in nyc? because i didn't!
we spent the rest of the time doing diy crafts, turban-tying tutorials, eating and drinking (of course), and snapchatting along the way! and as if the mimosa bar wasn't enough, mollie, dana, and myself headed out to bottomless brunch at union bar and kitchen just around the corner! after all of the day's activities, it was definitely time for a nap!
subscribe here to the lovely happenings newsletter to be the first to hear about their next event. you don't want to miss it!!
