the sisterhood of the traveling dress
with the surplus of bloggers and influencers now controlling newsfeeds everywhere, there will always be a standout few where i constantly draw inspiration from. one of those inspirations being none other than blair eadie (who coincidentally launched her collection at nordstrom in partnership with halogen yesterday!). at the beginning of august, while hiding from the sun in the hamptons with dana, blair popped up on my feed wearing this dress and dana and i instantly knew we both needed it! and i don’t think i need to mention how easy our decision was since the dress was $95. yup $95.
within seconds…okay fine, days…i started seeing this dress appear on my feed more and more and each time i fell more and more in love with it! it seemed that everyone from petites to plus were rocking this dress and putting their own spin it: essentially making this the sisterhood of the traveling dress!
meet the sisterhood:
of course blair not only wore it perfectly once, but twice! the first time pairing it with an adorable pearl headband and the chicest vintage chanel bag i’ve ever seen and then the second time in a trunkful of steamline luggage and a statement hat that makes pale girls feel much safer on the beach haha!
next is my bestie and partner in crime dana who purchased the dress while sitting next to me and i even photographed her wearing it! she opted to wear the dress with neutral heels and an award winning hair flip. see her post here!
recent new yorker olivia rink (and cutest human in the world) wore the dress while in portugal and she completed the look with bare feet, a sunset, and a glass of champagne! that last one is arguably the best accessory a girl can have! see her post here!
candace read gave everyone legs for dayyyys by styling the dress with metallic booties and the classic gucci belt for the ltk book launch! she definitely gives the dress a whole new life with those accessories! see her posts here and here!
for those wanting to keep the open back more on the conservative side, saumya had the genius idea of pairing a white suiting vest over the dress! you know, to keep all the fun just without any accidental wardrobe malfunctions haha! she topped it off with vibrant accessories that make me wish it was still summer! see her post here!
brenda was pastel perfection when she wore the dress and i loved how she paired it with neutral accessories that i will definitely take inspiration from now that the temperatures have dropped. makes me even envision wearing mine again but with over the knee boots! maybe even these ones from last year. see her post here!
and finally, see all of the details of the way i styled it below!
