if you’ve been following me from the very beginning, you may know i went to school at the george washington university in washington, dc and every year the unofficial start to the spring season was without a doubt the annual cherry blossom festival. all over dc cherry blossoms would bloom at the end of march-early april but there was no sight like seeing all of them bloom around the tidal basin - it is truly something out of a painting! since i started my blog back in 2015, i had been able to photograph once at the blossoms but then, of course, had to move to nyc after graduation. i no longer had the easy accessibility to my favorite (and very time-sensitive) trees that i once had but i still figured that i would hop on down whenever they were to peak.Read More
in today’s digital age, social media influencers are continuously becoming synonymous with models. but our career paths look nothing like the traditional models that currently exist as well as the models that came before them. it’s no secret that social media influencers and bloggers wear infinite hats when it comes to our own brands. we are the stylists, models, creative directors, accountants, business managers, photographers…the list goes on and on. but what has me concerned is the value (or lack thereof) influencers are giving themselves and the work that they will do simply in exchange for social media promotion or even recognition.Read More
these past two weeks i have had incredible things planned! i was able to persuade amanda to book a last minute trip to los angeles with me and we literally had the best time (aside from the fact that i ripped my favorite blouse #stillbitter)! we were exhausted because we shot from sunrise to sunset every day but more on all of that content later. unfortunately though, the past few days i have just been dealing with a string of bad luck and it’s put a damper on my attitude. from travel mishaps to technical issues, i’ve just wanted to curl up in a ball and cry…in fact i did that this afternoon on the phone with my mom in the back of an uber. that definitely killed my uber rating haha.Read More
in today’s social media age, people are seemingly defined by their follower count. as of this week, i have around 25k followers and while that may seem like a lot to some people, my following pales in comparison to my peers…especially those in nyc. to be honest, it gets incredibly frustrating and often discouraging regardless of how hard i try not to play the comparison game. the loop giveaways are running rampant and there doesn’t seem to be any slowing down of people trying to take shortcuts. i was even told once that it was “cute” how i’ve kept my small following simply because i didn’t participate in that rubbish (sorry i’ve been watching mary poppins returns and now i think i’m british). i had a “wait, what?!?” moment haha! but what real impact does this have on me? it really comes down to brands and partnerships.Read More
after a week off, i’m back with a new post here on the blog and now that i’ve set a new intention for my posts, i’m not only just going to be talking about what i’m wearing or what i ate for brunch at le sirenuse in miami (because i had one of everything let’s be honest), but rather a topic i want to share. while visiting my friend fendi in miami last month, i knew we needed to stop at the sister restaurant of my favorite hotel in positano. i knew i wanted a plethora of photos by their iconic green bar just inside from their patio but i needed to take them without my security blanket: sunglasses.Read More
is it too late to say happy new year? haha!
after taking nearly one month off (with the exception of yesterday’s post), i’m finally back and ready for action! the end of 2018 was quite the whirlwind by closing out the year with a trip to africa and 2019 has already been jam packed with so many exciting things! i promise i will be posting all about my trip to africa soon but i seriously needed to post this sequin cape because the christmas trees behind me already date these photos…oopsies!

today is the day!
today is the first day of the official redesign of one of my favorite (if not my most favorite) brands! early last year it was announced that nicola glass would be replacing deborah lloyd as creative director of kate spade. while i know anyone who follows me knows i am a kate spade fanatic (and former employee) and that i’ve have always loved the brand, i knew nicola was going to take the brand into the next stage of its life. when nicola’s first collection first hit the runway last fashion week, i will be honest, there were pieces that i loved…and some, not so much. was this redesign too drastic for the kate spade customer? was it going to stray too far from the whimsical brand i once knew? i had to wait and see it for myself in person.Read More
i cannot believe it’s almost 2019 and it’s crazy to think how this year just flew by! looking back on 2018, i was thankful to be a part of some amazing trips, opportunities, and overall experiences that helped make this year one of the best yet! i wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some of my favorite moments (and posts) from each month this year and of course, we start at the beginning!Read More
as i briefly mentioned here, the days leading up to christmas, i was surprised with the news that the camp we were staying at in africa did not have wifi (like i was initially told). but i’m clearly not still bitter about it….nooooooo haha!
this was the one post i was extra excited to post this year because it is my annual lotte palace hotel christmas tree shoot! this is by far my (and every other blogger in new york’s) favorite christmas tree in the city. one reason why i love this the most is that the crowds are manageable and you are able to go right up to the tree - no barricades! oh, and of course i always have fake wrapped christmas gifts…duh!
so in any case, merry christmas! i hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday with your families!Read More
well first, oopsies! i know it’s the 26th and you’re all wondering, “why the heck is she posting this holiday content now!?” that’s a great question readers, haha! for the last week i have been on an adventure in africa and because i was told there would be wifi, i did not plan out my pre-christmas posts. unfortunately, upon arrival to my safari, i was in for a rude wake-up call when there was not only no wifi, but not even cell service!Read More
one of my favorite things about the holidays are the opportunities to dress up! even if you’re overdressed for the dinner party, people just get it during this time of year! while i won’t officially be wearing this dress until an event back in michigan in january, this dress initially caught my eye for the annual met holiday party. i ended up re-wearing this dress from over the summer with a turtleneck underneath just because i wasn’t able to get the dress hemmed in time (but i obviously wanted to keep it long for these photos because #drama).Read More
11 days until christmas and holy crap i can’t wait!
honestly, that’s all i really wanted to say and show this outfit because i’m obsessed with this dress! haha it’s seriously so comfy (no pockets though but yolo) and i’ve already worn it to a few holiday occasions this month! oh yeah, and it has a slight stretch so go crazy and eat all the foods hahaRead More
with the beginning of the holidays, this means that fall is officially at an end. it has been fun, fall, and i will truly miss you deeply. thankfully i did save one more outfit that i shot here in nyc when the fall foliage was at its peek! this skirt has already made the rounds a few times in my real life wardrobe and loved pairing it with this oversized cozy sweater to show here on the blog! now let the christmas festivities begin and i can’t wait to show you all the holiday outfits for this year!
until next year, fall!

suits, recently, have been my favorite things to throw on (see here) so when i saw blair eadie’s collection had no shortage of matching suits, i couldn’t help myself but to buy one! …yeah yeah yeah okay two! and the best part about blair’s collection in collaboration with halogen, was the versatility and interchangeableness (is that even a word?) with one another so i felt so comfortable pairing this polka dotted blouse with the printed suit to complete the look!Read More
while dana, andrea, and i were in vermont, we tried to take advantage of as much of the fall foliage as we could! while we ended up being just a week late for the peak of the colors, we couldn’t help but just drive around and get lost in the streets of stowe. honestly it seemed that every block was prettier than the next and we would immediately hop out and take some photos…and maybe play in the leaves a bit.Read More
after dana and i checked out of our hotel, we met up with andrea and made the switch over to the cutest airbnb just a few minutes from the downtown area. and holy crap was it the cutest! while it’s inside was decent, the reason we ended up choosing this location was because it was on a farm! like a real farm!! haha okay this city girl is going to calm down now! while i was behind the camera for a lot of the farm shots for dana and andrea, they were truly some of my favorites! loved this one i took for andrea and this one for dana!Read More
happy friday everyone! and more importantly, a happy black friday! i hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving yesterday but now the fun really begins: the countdown to chirstmas! while everyone is very excited to take advantage of holiday deals and deep discounts, i will spread the same message that i do every year. it’s a reminder to those who are choosing to do their shopping today in the stores, remember to be extra, extra, extra nice and patient to the sales associates and staff members. they have to work incredibly long and stressful hours today and who knows what time they had to get up this morning to get to work. and typically, the time retail workers get to spend with their families is cut short so just be aware of that before you think someone is moving a little slower than you would like (*cough looking at you new yorkers cough*).Read More
a few weeks ago, dana, elle, and i made the easy one-hour drive from nyc to fishkill farms to partake in my favorite basic-girl fall activity: apple picking! but to be honest, as much as i love myself a good orchard, i was really there for the cider and doughnuts. i have no shame. so we made sure to pick up a box before adventuring into their massive orchards so we could snack on them along the way. that was probably our best decision of the day!Read More
