earn your stripes
give a girl a striped dress and a leather jacket and she can rule the world - oh, and a pair of kick ass heels never hurt anyone! i love pieces that are functional, practical, and of course, comfortable! when i tried on this black and white stripe dress at the kate spade store on madison, i was instantly in love. especially when it came to the multiple ways i could wear it.
the dress comes with a belt in a matching fabric but i almost prefer it without it, which is so unlike me! i typically flock to dresses with fitted waists but something about this dress minus the belt appealed to me. maybe it was the idea that i could stuff my face at brunch and not look like i was pregnant with my third food baby...
i purchased this dress for the intention of taking it to my failed trip to charleston: you can thank jonas for that. nope. still not bitter. i had originally planned on wearing this dress in a much more colorful way but as my trip plans, so did my outfit. i knew i needed to wear this dress asap, mostly because i was obsessed with it, so i paired it with my go-to leather jacket and edgy shoes to give it a whole new vibe. maybe when i actually make it to charleston, i will post this dress again!
