my forever home

wait she has a blog!?

i know, i know…it’s crazy to think it’s been two and a half years since i even thought about writing a blog post, but with my new apartment having just been completed, i wanted one home for all of the details. so now, how did we even get here!? well, the last time i made a blog post, i was still in my pink jewel box studio apartment and some of you may have found me via the tour that went viral on tiktok! that apartment lasted me a little over three years and after spending almost all of quarantine there, i came to realize i had outgrown it and began the search for a new apartment.

inspiring creators worth a follow

last week, i was completely blown away by all of the support you all gave me regarding my mobile wallpapers i featured on my stories of some of my prints. so many of you saved, shared, screenshot, and posted about my work and it just made me cry of happiness! i was so excited to be able to share my work in that way so everyone could add a little color and sunshine to their screens.

and because of all this love, i decided i needed to continue to spread it! there are so many talented artists and creators that i follow (many of who have their own shops too!) who are such an inspiration not only to me but to their followers as well. some accounts are big and some are small but each one of these artists have a unique voice and aesthetic that speaks to me in some way. i hope you all enjoy these accounts!

michigan bedroom redesign

it’s round 2 for doing a redesign with shannon (i first had her do my apartment in nyc!); and this time, it’s my bedroom at my parents house!

to give a little backstory of my parent’s house at the moment, they had a house fire two years ago and as a result they had to move out of the house that i lived most of my adolescent life in and into the house they are currently in. all of the furniture i had in my bedroom at the “fire house” was gone so they placed miscellaneous and mismatched furniture that was salvaged into the guest bedrooms for when my brother and/or i visit.

a few weeks ago it was becoming clear that the shutdown was going to be significantly longer than expected so i wanted to take this time to give my bedroom a little refresh. i reached out to shannon and she threw together a perfect design board in just days!

the ins and outs of the 2019 blog societies conference

two weekends ago, elle and i headed down to georgia and made our way to the barnsley resort for the annual blog societies conference, adorably known as tbscon. while i attended this conference back in 2016 with dana, this year’s conference was extra special because instead of being an attendee i was asked to be a speaker for one of the workshops. if you’re not familiar with the blog societies, it is a community for influencers that allows us to share resources, connections, and tools necessary to grow our blogs. it was founded by cathy of poor little it girl and jessica of my style vita and they host a conference every year that brings together girls (and guys!) and discuss all things blogging.
