monumental fail

the purpose of my quick trip back to washington, dc was to revisit one of my favorite sights: the cherry blossoms! as i mentioned here, the weather was not optimal for the cherry blossoms to bloom but that didn't mean that was going to stop me from waking up before the crack of dawn and heading down to the tidal basin. throughout the years, i've always admired the jefferson memorial simply due to how stunning it looks peeking through the cherry blossoms. so with the blossoms still frozen solid, i was sure to spend some time at the jefferson memorial as well in an effort to make my trip not a total monumental fail.

cherryblossom-7

although the cherry blossoms were not peaking on the trees, there was no shortage of blossoms on this stunning ted baker dress! but i will say, i kept thinking about how stunning this would have looked if the cherry blossoms did decide to bloom and weren't covered in a layer of ice...thanks mother nature! my trip was still completely worth it and i loved seeing all of my friends again. i may have missed the blossoms during my trip, but the ones that did survive the blizzard are currently peaking! so if you live in the dc area, be sure to stop by!
