spring to palm springs

after seemingly years of seeing the parker hotel in palm springs take over my instagram feed, i finally made it over to the picturesque hotel! during my last trip to california with my family. i somehow was able to convince them to make the 2 hour drive over to palm springs from la basically so i could take a couple instagram photos (but shhhh don’t tell them) - but it ended up being so much fun! i absolutely fell in love with the mid-century modern architecture and i felt like i was an old hollywood movie star on vacation haha!

the anti-nordstrom sale post: why i have not, am not, and will (probably) never shop the nordstrom anniversary sale

every summer the hoards of bloggers emerge for the annual money-maker event of the season. and to be honest the content never fails to be completely overloaded. but why am i so against a sale? because it’s the day before the public access, i’m going going to share why.

jumping to palm springs

it has always been a dream of mine to visit the mid-century capital of the world: palm springs. so when amanda and i were doing our insane day of shooting, we knew palm springs needed to be a stop. while i desperately wanted to stay the night, i knew this trip wasn’t going to be my chance. so we opted for lunch at the ace hotel and trespassing onto the saguaro property for photos. this town is rainbow heaven and i did not want to leave!
