i am a firm believer in the power of a good coat...which is why fall is my favorite season! why do i love them so much? simply because you can wear the simplest (and comfiest) outfit underneath, add a statement coat, and your look is complete! i knew when i laid eyes on this milly coat during an event at their madison avenue shop a few weeks ago, i needed to make some room in my (already packed) closet.
even though the coat is black and white, it makes quite the statement...especially when paired with a pop of red! so i made sure to wear my favorite j.crew pants *i own four pairs of them* to make the look a little more casual. adding a little sparkle with this kate spade tunic completed my holiday-ready look! the tunic could be worn as a dress as well for those a little on the shorter side! however, to avoid a wardrobe malfunction, i decided to play it safe with the pants.
