lovely happenings
over the weekend, i had the opportunity to attend the second (my first) lovely happenings event here in nyc! i first heard about the company through dana of pink champagne problems who had nothing but "lovely" things to say about the company (see what I did there...) so right from the beginning i couldn't wait to see what this company truly had to offer. dana was a part of a panel with three other amazing bloggers including hallie of sleepless in sequins, katie of katie's bliss, and cara of the style phile all talking about their favorite fall trends. the day was filled with diy activities, manicures, pictures, and of course drinking and eating.
i didn't have time to buy a new outfit for the bash so i was texting dana the night before asking for her expert advice of a dress i should recycle. one thing about instagramming all of your outfits is that you have a digital closet that you can go back to for ideas. i was torn between my two favorite red valentino dresses that didn't get much air time: this one from my trip to london and this one from earlier in the summer. dana helped me make the decision of the green dress which i ended up wearing - and getting so many compliments! this time around i paired it with my trench coat (that i actually got for a halloween costume), black antrho blazer and kate spade heels to make it a little more fall appropriate.
the day was so much fun and it was a great networking opportunity chatting with all the amazing bloggers in attendance. i even met fellow redhead blogger erika fox of retro flame! she has the cutest little irish accent and is honestly drop dead gorgeous in person - dana and i couldn't stop talking about it!
i said this in my instagram and i'll say it again, i had such an amazing time at the lovely happenings event and i can't wait for their next one!!
